    remember the purpose of the fuel sender is to tell lies to the fuel gauge.

    FIL had a piece of dowel with notches marked on it sitting behind the drivers seat.

    The tanks had dents protruding out of them at the bottom for the stick to get sat into.

    That was the most accurate fuel gauge I ever saw
