    Dual Cab Series

Just thinking out loud here, has anyone ever made a dual cab series. I look at the 130 and think they look great but has there ever been a series version. I think if you were going to do this would you use a 4 door station wagon and use the truck cab from a ute and the roof off a 88

They did - although none made it out here ( afaik). It was called a '127' and was a special order, mostly commercial applications. The wheelbase didn't become well known until the defender came along and the military started using them for the Rapier Misslle system.

There were the Bi-centenial 110's where they cut down station wagons to fit a 5th wheeler display trailer.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Lany and Diana's examples were both coil sprung, not Series. But there is no reason why the same sort of thing could not be done to any 2/2a/3 wagon - the panels are pretty much identical. But I don't recall ever seeing one.

I have seen a photo of a 127 inch series III dual cab ute- but as usual I can't find it atm - here's a 1976 127 ex airfield ambulance to demonstrate that they were available

I have a S3 station wagon sitting on my front lawn for exactly that idea. It is not on top of the projects list (yet), but would be keen to hear some ideas regarding the conversion.

Well I'm not going to do this conversion I was just curious. I'm still working on my 100" V8 but it would definetly be a great conversion.
