I think you'll find $205 is a fairly good price for tyres ...

You could try looking for second hand tyres.

You could try retreads, such as those offered from this bloke:

Or there are Steeltreks if you are happy with only four, and act quickly

You need to approach one of the bigger tyre chains and see if they have any secondhand tyres in the correct size. Often people will replace tyres before they are worn out so you may be lucky & score a cheap set.
There are also companies that specialise in s/h tyres.

Give these guys a call, I can always check them out for you.
In fact I need some tyres for my S2 109 because the ones fitted have been re-cut !

If you're happy with 205/80R16 rather than 7.50R16, I've got 5 all terrains with decent tread left on them (probably about 8-10mm from memory) that I keep meaning to put up in the market place.
You can have them for a lot lot less than $1025....

Obviously not 7.50 X 16's, from memory my old series landy had 6.50 X 16's on skinny rims and the maximum I could go was 7.00 X 16.
What size rims have you got and what is the existing tyre size ?

88" has 5" rims (Part No 231601) which are specified as max tyre size 7.00 16 but the vehicles were usually fitted with either 6.00 or 6.50 tyres OEM.

If you want to go to 7.50 on an 88" then you need to acquire wider rims like the 109" rims (Part Number 272309 or 569690 English rims)

Belted radial ply or bias ply tyres.
Most modern tyres are radial ply with a steel belt. In these tyres the walls are weaker and less puncture resistant than the tread. The other issue is that if the vehicle sits for long periods (months) particularly on grass or dirt, the pores in the rubber will allow moisture to attack the steel belt which can lead to de-lamination and loss of tread blocks on the highway.

If your vehicle is to be used in this manner, you may want to consider using bias ply tyres, which have stronger side walls and no steel belt. You can get light truck lug pattern tyres from many agricultural and truck tyre services. Korean Hankook brand have a good name Chinese Triangle Brand, Indian MRF brand seem to have reasonable reputations at a lower original price.

You can have them for $100 each but diameter will be smaller than your 7.50/16
