This weekend.
I have the remains of a bolt to fail to remove
An MG ZR that needs an oil change and wheel rotation (about all you do in a service) but I'll be looking for a 'strange sound' at the back end, checking the discs for thickness - wonder what I want to find least, that I need new discs or that I need new wheel bearings?
On holidays next week so hopefully can get the engine and gearbox out.
Oh, and that rotten bolt.
We've been ignoring this thread. Shame on us
For me?
Get the bits to fix my welder.
Practice welding.
Photograph results for advice and polite shakes of the head.
Remove the remaining steering arms.
There's a steering gadget that goes through the front cross member - I'm going to try to get that out.
Surely at that point it's time to remove the suspension and turn the chassis over for cleaning and painting?
Nope. Because I still have to bash out that bent rear wing on the chassis (or at least fail to do so yet again).
Flippin' dog biscuits, everytime I think I'm ready to start the cleaning/painting/rebuilding process, I find something else I need to remove or do. I thought these beasts were meant to be simple! They're simple like Rubic's Cube, we're the genuinely 'simple' ones for imagining we can get the upper hand
Lol. At least its keeping you entertained! If it was too simple then you'd finish too quickly and have nothing to do but drive it! and how boring would that be.
I have a king pin to order. That will be my job this weekend I think. O, and wait for a R380 and LT230 to replace my series gear. I have to pull out the seats, floor pans, trans tunnel, seat box.... :( just when I thought I was nearly finished. haha.
I should have just bought another D90.... would have been quicker and easier :p
