Dad's day at Birdwood - includes Leyland Bros Landy

For Father's Day, my son took me and I took my Dad up to the Birdwood National Motor Museum

Long and exhausting day had by all

There were two Landys there, both Series 1 (natch, gotta have the good one ).

This one's a 58 shorty. The museum doesn't tell us where it came from but from the number on the roof and Gumeracha (a local town) on the side, I'm guessing it's ex-CFS (Country Fire Service). Definitely in 'as decommissioned' condition.

Now the Leyland Brothers Series one, the one that was used to do their West to East crossing. Again, in as used condition.

I'm guessing the gadget on the bonnet is an oil resevoir and cooler.
