Galvanising: Does anyone know where to get high quality galvanising done?

My ex-RACQ 1951 80" is shortly to be reassembled after having all the panels re-painted and sign written by the Ho hars.

I want to have all the gal capping and other parts re-galvanised but am having problems finding someone who will do it properly.

What I want/need is a company who will skim the tank before dipping and then centrifuge the parts immediately they come out of the tank.

Anyone know a company who will do that with small parts for a single vehicle?

    (Willing to travel)

    SEQ: 13th to 15th May
    Vic/Morwell: 1st to 8th June

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Can't recommend anyone but a google search throws up a few companies that could do the job.
I think the process is more for small items (bolts, brackets etc.) so that they don't stick together & to remove excess from threads. Not sure that anyone will be set up to centrifuge the cappings.

I have a contact here. Kingfield Galvanizing I'll ask what the maximum size is for centrifuging.

Somerton may be good, I could drop the stuff off on the way to Morwell and pick it up on the way back the next week.

BTW: I could possibly get away without spinning the door top frames and windscreen frame if their sizes are too large.

Just confirmed that centrifuging is for small parts, basket diameter approx 800mm. The idea is to spin off any excess.
Problem is that when they moved from Campbellfield to Somerton they stopped centrifuging & now sub that out.

The guy I spoke to said as long as there are holes in the pieces to wire them to a frame for dipping then that's probably the way it would have been done originally. It then comes down to how long they leave the parts in for (most LR parts are thin and would heat up quickly), the angle they are dipped at, speed of extraction etc.

A couple of years back I spoke with one of the family that own GB Galvanising (Dandenong & Bayswater). He said they had done some re-galvanising on Land Rover parts and it was a PITA. Many, many parts that all had to be wired to a dipping frame, the labour content was the issue.

Someone on the forum was getting parts galvanised in SA and the finish looked good and pricing was reasonable.
