As with most aftermarket rubber products they are just not made to last.
The prop-shaft boots on my Series III have decomposed within a few years. They are not exactly in direct sunlight and the vehicle hasn't done many Kms.




Is there a company that makes a long lasting prop-shaft boot ? Come to think of it handbrake gaiters & Hi/Lo lever gaiters are the same so I ended up making leather replacements, maybe I'll have to do the same with this gaiter !

I just took a look at the propshaft on a LWB Series III I've been parting out and the old gaiter is still flexible and uncracked !!
