The bit you are looking for (I think) is actually replacement for the standard starting dog, and is one side of the dog clutch that engages the winch. The notches in the crankshaft pulley are for the locking washer, not for driving The arrangement was somewhat different over time.
Series 1 and, I think, Series 2, had a three pin dog, circular in appearance, with the driven shaft held in a bush supported by brackets off the front of the engine to keep it aligned, with the shaft sliding.
Series 2a and Series 3 had a dog with a deep groove across it to take a cross pin as the driven side of the dog clutch and with the bush in a bracket hinged off the front cross member.
For the later one the part numbers are RTC7015 for the 3 bearing engine, RRC1582 for the five bearing. I don't have the earlier optional equipment parts book.
