    Fuel Dipstick

    I've got a fuel dipstick as used on military Land rovers, marked 1 - 11. I was under the impression that all tanks held 10gal. Any ideas?.W.

    I suspect you will not be able to fill it to 11 as the dipsticks are at the higher part of the tank top.

    I did rest the spinal tap reference - just !!

    Yes most are marked 11 gallons if you overfill the tank, I also have a few with Metric marks on them as well, cheers Dennis
