    Reservoir blues

    Hi all,

I have a beautiful original clutch/brake fluid reservoir in my 2A that unfortunately is torn on the bottom and is now leaking slightly.

Does anyone know who in the Melbourne area could repair this for me? I don’t want to get a new one!

    Cheers, Leo

Not too many people working in tinplate nowadays.

Maybe an older radiator repair joint, they will be setup for soldering. Cost for labour may make a new one a better option, new reservoirs are available from the UK. Dandy Radiators still carry out work on old radiators and are 'approachable' to discuss this type of work, I'm sure there are others.
Know anyone who works with model steam trains, or a local miniature steam club ? They would be set up for soldering.

It's something I'd tackle myself but cleaning back to shiny metal & tinning it take time and effort whereas someone set-up to do it makes it look easy.

    Best of luck.
