Series Carbie
Found this carbie on a rusty rotten possibly Bedford truck uncovered by DELWP road clearing here
Is it worth going back and removing it to possibly fit on one of my series rebuilds it seems no worse than some of the stuff
I have in the back yard

Simple answer no
It will be over jetted and the venturi will be to big for a 2 1/4 or any landy motor for that .

Grab it! Most petrol Bedfords of the 50's to 70's had a single throat downdraught Stromberg similar to that used on Holden In-line 6's. The bigger engines had a carb with a larger venturi. I used one of the larger ones on my "Showroom Stock" Class EH 149 in the mid 60's A bit of a cheat as the regs said only the carb originally fitted. The only things that went wrong with them were throttle spindle wear and air leaks from warped covers. Adjustable main jets are still readily available. Simple, reliable, and effective.
