Either way would be OK - really a matter of preference.

Our late S2A had a dual nozzle single unit in the bonnet between the spare and the firewall. The switch was a push button switch located on the dash between the lights and wipers switches.

I have one of these and the ones you posted.
Not sure which to use.
My bonnet has the hole already in it.
It may be harder to get to the piping if fitted to a S3, and leaking.
The one on the bonnet would be easier.

I discovered there are two holes in the firewall, one near each wiper shaft that takes those jets I pointed to at paddocks, so I'm going to run the washer tube up the wiper shaft tube to each jet.

It should be a neat solution that doesn't require me to drill holes in the bonnet.

I mounted the washer reservoir on left side near the radiator overflow reservoir, and ran the tube through the firewall in to where the wiper motor is, and now I just have to get the washer tube through the rubber boot, but I might have to make another hole in the boot if I can't squeeze it in the same hole as the wiper shaft. Then cable tie the washer tube behind the wiper shaft.

I bought a washer kit from Supercheap auto for $22, so pretty happy with that.
