While we've got all the experts in the one place, can anybody tell me what this one came off? I know it's not Land Rover. The drum dia. is 9" x 6-1/2 wide, the dia. of the centre hole and the spacing of the 4 mounting holes are 2-1/4". I acquired this about 40 years ago when I made and repaired banjos and needed solid round stuff of varying sizes to bend brass hoops etc.

Just measured my Grey Fergy one.
It has the 4 lugs and measures 6 1/2 X 8 3/4. Holes 2 1/4 apart.
Are the sides curved or parallel ????

Almost all flat belt pulleys have a raised "equator" - this keeps the belt on. First came across this on the fan belt of the Ford T I learned to drive on. The crankshaft pulley was like this but the fan pulley was flat with raised edges.
Decided to look at the rear PTO belt drive module tonight.
Turns out it was an adapter shaft turning a female into a male (am I allowed to say that nowadays ?).
The casting has Marshall 218840 on it.
Whether the previous owner realised or just hoped that it could be fitted to the rear PTO unit I'll never know.

The article below suggests Land Rover certainly made the early rear PTO units but 10 spline rather than 6 spline. It also suggests that they made belt drive units.
Maybe they supplied Field Marshall ??

The Land Rover casting numbers are usually close to the L/R part numbers. The L/R part no for the pinion housing assy. is 218846
