Series 2A Clutch Slave Cylinder to Series 3 Clutch Master Cylinder into 2A 88

    Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone has fitted an original 2A clutch slave cylinder to a Series 3 clutch master cylinder into a short wheel base 2A? Is it just a matter of swapping over the pedal box fitted with a clutch master cylinder, then bending, cutting and plumbing in a new steel pipe between the slave and master cylinders?

The original combined brake and clutch master cylinder is beyond repair. I already have a number of Series 3 clutch master cylinders and pedal boxes spares to choose from.

    Kind regards
    Lionel

The Series 3 clutch master is the same part number as the Series 2a when fitted with a brake booster and clutch m/c with reservoir, so I don't see why not. Note however that if planning to fit the Series 3 brake master with booster, you will have to modify the mudguard.

The Series 2a clutch master cylinders are available, but if you have the Series 3 ones on hand, no problems. The pedal box etc is the same for the clutch, but not for the brake.
