I'm still daily driving the EV Land , its bloody fabulous. Novelty not worn off , enjoying it immensly. Ive since added Power steering & disc brakes - because its a daily , I need it to stop & easier to park when shopping.

If I was to do another I'd use a Nissan Leaf motor direct into the transfer case . Can buy a smashed Leaf for 5K & it has almost everything you need .

Yes , it was $22k almost 8 years ago now, All new parts $11k of that was the batteries.

There wasnt so many salvage EV parts back then. Now you can buy a Nissan Leaf for 5K , Everything you need , and you can easily get 150hp out of a Leaf motor. just going to cost another 2 or 3K for apapter kit and a ECU/controller hack kit. - thats handy if you want to run the original dashboard.
