The fitting beside the doors is a small cleat for the rope tie down. The seal for the tailgate goes on the tailgate and another angled metal strip goes on the tub.

						SupporterHi,
Getting close to the end of my series 3 rebuild and there are a few holes that I can't remember what they are for.
Any help with identifying what should go next to the door? If nothing I will just fill it with two rivets.

On the tail gate there looks like there should be a strip of something along the bottom. I have already put the lower seal on the tub - should I just put a strip of galvanised steel or I could make my own seal. Definitely want to close up the holes.

Thanks as always for your great support!!
Thanks,
Chris

SupporterThank you both for the quick replies - looks like I stuffed up the seal but nothing ventured nothing gained. I will see if I can buy the cleat for the tie down.
Ron's mates at KLR might have 'em.
