    Hi All,
I see the throttle control on the remote control unit, but couldn't see steering. Does it have remote steering?

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

See the chrome wheel in the middle at the top of the controller? That is the steering wheel.

The steering is done by the wheel on the side of the remote. (BigJon just beat me)

Toyworld has a version of the D3 for sale at the moment, not a replica but one of the ones with huge wheels.

    And for another option,

Sometimes those cheap import stores who setup in the middle of a shopping centre also have the D3, and it's quite large in size, but "toy" grade, and probably unable to do that water crossing in the YouTube video (even with the assistance of an ML, or a D3 driver at the controls :P ).

"Toy" grade = cheaper, no spare parts
"Hobby" grade = more expensive, spare parts available, often every component can be upgraded/interchanged with aftermarket parts.

    Hi all,
Had no luck tracking down a D3 or D4 remote control 4by for my son, however I did get hold of a Landrover 110 ute.
It is awesome......diff locks etc etc and runs on batteries.
Having trouble giving it back to him.
Here is the utube link that I put on last night. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5bBKQvSyfw]YouTube - Landrover 110 Remote[/ame]

    Hi NOZ,
Brought it over the internet through RC Hobbies Sydney. Found out later that I could have got it closer to home.
Cost me around $400.00, but beware, does not come with batteries, despite saying on the box "Ready to use". Ended up buying 2 top quality batteries and a top of the range charger (charges batteries in about 3/4 hour) for an extra $240.00.
Fair outlay, but I am really happy with it............woops my son is really happy with it.
It will go almost anywhere and the batteries last forever on one charge. Probably get away with one battery.
You may find that if you go to a RC Hobbies store or similar, they will do you up with a deal which includes batteries etc.
