    Well thats Woomera toasted.

Its a hard life as a RAAFie, specially as one of the goto mechanics. After 18 hour's notice I got shunted off to Woomera supporting a secret squirrel. Its not all beer and skittles (I ran out of them about day 6) up every morning at 0500 to go and start 30+kva generators and then off at random times again in the evening to shut them down, service them, rebuild the dust clogged carbies of the gensets the yanks and canuks were towing around in trailers while they were running.. getting a measly $80ish a day for food and incidentals...

I mean having to wake up and drive a truck out to put up with

    That every damn morning?

    and then

Dinner like this every night? (tonight was sausages along with vegies and a tomato garlic butter sauce)

Stunned some of the yanks and the canuks with a one off meal for them, traditional damper and the coat of arms meal. Roo and Emu along with golden wattle honey done as a dip for the damper Along with the usual info blurb yes the golden wattle is on the coat of arms as its prolific in australia, the roo and the emu are both on there as neither walk backwards.

Yes, australia is unique in that we eat everything thats on the national coat of arms and in answer to the normal Frequently asked questions First I'll quote a movie,

It tastes like (explitive) but you can live on it,

and the how can we eat this stuff? well theres a reason australia has one of the highest alcohol consumption figures in the world, we need to be drunk to eat this stuff.

the answers to the most important questions are , respectively, Yes, I do and Jim Beam and coke.

    Enjoy the meal.

you guys know I get paid for this right?
    Dave

no, I wont have to kill you, that would be the americans who bought the squirells job.

lets just say that in typical fashion when the yanks tried on what they were trying on the Aussies just went, meh, and got on with it old school to provide the results.

(as for rockets I can show you some, one laying on the ground but they are
sort of surrounded by unexploded cluster bomb type items, so may just say there!)
