Well done mate. I must say that over the years the mags are getting much better about the series II Disco and D3/4 in general.
Cheers
Some months ago I made the following post in the trip report section as I went down to have a crack at the Nissan Patrol clubs, "Son of Trials" event at River Island Bend near Mittagong, the rest you can read in the post is you want.

Well anyway and mate rings me today and said, did you do that Nissan event a few months back, "Yep". Were you the only standard Silver D3, "Yep, only one I saw".
The there is a photo of you on page 244 of this months 4wd Action mag.
I went out and purchased the mag and sure enough there is my D3 on the sand track, with some positive commentary about how the traction control made the D3 perform much better than some would have expected. No mention of my expert driving (for obvious reasons).
Flying the flag for D3's, pretty pleased I must say.
Ok, back to anonymity now.
George.

You are breaching copyright, but I doubt the copyright owners will worry as you are not making profit from it and rather giving them extra publicity. Would be different if it was resold, content re-used etc.
Yes I don't imagine there were that many D3s competing! Good work!

No payment received, but I am sure somewhere in the small print of the waivers and liability releases etc I would have signed away all my rights to images of me taken on the day etc. etc.
Not too concerned about my breach of copyright as I only did this for personal glory, not personal gain !!!.
And thanks Celtoid, my machine does look nice.

Amazing as it sounds, you don't actually own the copyright of images taken of you or your vehicle. The copyright rests with the photographer and there is no restriction on profit making per-se as a result.
Well done, good to see someone carrying on the D3 flag! I well remember the guffaws that turned into shock when we were competing
Cheers,
Gordon
Top stuff....saw that in my copy of the mag....even better it being someone of here, Smokey has been in the mag twice now......feel almost famous
Regards
Stevo
Let me add my congratulations George. It's good to see a D3 out there doing what it was designed to do! Even better that it made it to the mags!!
