Dont know about the price but its a very good damper, especially if you have larger than standard tyres.

Perhaps give Opposite Lock a call and see how much they are supposed to be. It doesnt sound a long way out to me.

Perhaps you could let us know the OL price. After my recent CSR trip and after 4 years, mine has sprung a leak. Im seriously tempted to replace it with the same again.

I would buy one from there

4wd1.com also do them for $165, they are pretty much the biggest Tough Dog dealer and have a real shop and garage.

RTC Dampners are very overated. Tough dog/Rancho also poor quality shocks.

A decent 'normal' one is your best bet. Even OME make a pretty decent steering dampner.

If you want the best check out King shocks or Fox.

I got a bloody good run out of my RTC on my disco...and they are good however they can easily hide a lot of things wrong in your steering so make sure bushes are up to scratch and everything is straight etc before fiting.

Also bought from 4wd.1 and have since bought a iron man big bore steering damper from them also...they are a great company to deal with!!
