Notes:
1. The Mirrors
There are apparently some real tricks with the mirrors due to the different years and configurations so I got TLO to help me.... He wanted the VIN of the car to match the mirrors. There are apparently different ones for, puddle lights, indicators, heating, memory or not, etc.
2. The Power Fold Wiring
I had the electric memory seats, not sure if the wiring is done with this, and thus mine was plug and play....
You can check on the following:
- Check how many wires you have in the door where the wing mirror plugs into door (there are two plugs there).
- Check if the relay mount exists near the internal fuse box (behind the glove box) - there is a picture showing the power fold mirror relay on Disco 3 which shows where this is located.
3. Fuse
Fuse 16 in the internal fuse box (CJB?) is the one which powers the power fold relay. Mine was there even though I didn't have the mirrors. I would check a lower spec car and see if that fuse is there and wired up.
Then there is the physical removal of the door trims and mirrors, swap over of the glass and put it all back together again.... A little over 3hrs for me (after getting a TORX driver)
Hope that helps....
Cheers,
AP
