tyres for slimy causeways

'cause I'm still nursing a bloody sore shoulder from Sunday morning

I've hyperextended the joint, could've been a lot worse I 'spose, and no grazes, it was like hitting a water slide, except my right arm went back under my body at full extension.

I think my old Vertical Pro's are just too old and hard.
At least I made it half way across before the front end washed out.

And the physio was sympathetic, he's a mtb'er that's done that too

Ah, yes, I've had the joy of getting pushed sideways by 6" of water across a slimy ford, lucky I managed to stay upright. On the same ford, across what is ironically named "Dry Creek" a mate of mine went right off the edge, drowned his phone and gps and got bumped around a bit. To be brutally honest, anything short of spiked tyres isn't going to help. It's like black ice.

Yep, I realise that, just having a whinge

Plenty of motorbikes have gone down on the same causeway, a friend even said yesterday her ex lost his trike on it

Maybe some of isuzu rover's 40 durometer tyres might work...(?)

Not sure if your talking road or mtb bike but on my commuter I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres, I have not had a puncture and they have lots of grip, been good for two years and over 10,000km.
