    Fuel for V8

Went to put some 95 Ron in my D3 (V8) the other day and noticed it said it may contain up to 10% Ethanol. Is this OK for the engine?

    TIA

Was a Matilda servo. The fuel was advertised as 95 RON it was only when I saw the small print about the Ethanol that I began wondering. I have seen the E10 unleaded and avoid that but this was just advertised as 95 RON, so is it the same as the E10 stuff?

I know that avoiding independent servos will lead ( if it hasn't already ! )
    to a Duopoly ( read : monopoly .... ) , but down south Aus , they're
notorious for crap fuel and dodgy toluene additives etc . Stick with
Caltex and Shell ( aka Woolies and Coles ) and you will be getting
    what you're expecting ; not ethanol in 95 and 98 ( yet ).
I use RON98 because it's minimally Cents more than RON95 , but better.
Years ago ( '80's ) we all bought our Super , where-ever we saw it ,
    but times have changed.

Ethanol is for ethanol engines. Manufacturers are too scared to say "don't use it"
incase they lose a heap of vehicle sales.

    E10 is a generic referral to RON91 with 10% ethanol. Interestingly , adding 10% ethanol to RON91 , makes
it less than 91, but they're not going there !

Thanks for the information folks. I did think 95 RON was premium unleaded but was obviously wrong. Will stick with 98 in future.

    Regards
