D4 ARB front bar - any cutting required?

    Hi all,

First post since getting one. (D4 2.7) I love the vehicle.

However, after our first shake down camping trip I realise it's back to the starting blocks in terms of bush safety and insurance.

At a minimum the big outlays are looking like, front bar (luckily the roo bounced off the camper trailer and not vehicle) a snorkel and good AT tyres.

So, with regards to the bar, I'm wondering if any body cutting is required to fit it?

    Thanks in advance.

Only the front lower portion of the flared wheel arch (the plastic bit)

Cut from level with the light down...

There is a brand which leaves it intact, but not as strong..

ECB... They may have something to say about not being as strong.

Not totally true.. I managed to change passenger side bulb on my D3, bit fiddly but not too bad.. also discovered that ARB fitters had knocked off the neck of the washer filler when fitting the bar. Had wondered why the jets kept getting blocked, dust was getting into the bottle.
Don't know about the other side though!
Am looking at a bar for my D4... are there any that you can change bulbs by taking the lamp unit out the front?

I have a black ECB D4 winch-compliant bar (second-hand) for sale on my website if you want an alloy bar.

    Cheers,
