    Smile Vehicle rear set up

Hi I am new to this, I have a Defender 110 puma and I am looking for some ideas on a rear set up. I have a child restraint bar which restricts my room, and is a temporary fixture for another 3 years. I also have an front opening fridge which may restrict drawer set up. can anyone help or give me some ideas?

    Andrew

    Hi

This is the set up I have in the back of my 110 , I also have the crab bar and a cargo barrier .

I have 2 huskies so I did not go for a draw that goes right to the back of the rear bay as this made it a bit too high for them to jump up into the back. The car came with the full draw system. But that too up far too much room for my liking. So I took it out and replaced with a smaller one.

I do have another draw bit that fits behind this draw and then makes the whole floor flat . This sits in the 90 all the time and when I am going on a trip I put both of them together to make a large area for storage.

    my setup

    - draws are aluminum: they just slide on carpet, doesn't rattle and is pretty easy to use (the mrs' struggles a little when it is full and heavy though)
    - locks are window locks
    - handles are lovely and square
    - fridge is on a waeco platform which pulls out pretty easily
    - door opens a little further with Mulgo's gas strut
    - everything is made from 12mm ply covered in grey carpet where visible, otherwise is painted with black enamel to keep the weight down but remain somewhat waterproof
    - rear has been fully insulated, a bit heavy but it works a treat, stops anything rattling in the sides, plus obviously reduces road noise
    - the top of the sides lift out for easy access but still provide a flat surface on top
    - behind the rear seats is a 40Lt water tank and then a cargo barrier
    - netting in the roof space for anything light (sleeping bags, pillows, jackets, etc...)

Took an awful lot of planning and took quite a while to construct, but was well worth it.

    hope this helps
