Limp mode!

Had the new 90 a week now. Me and wife both enjoying it a lot. Coming back from city late last night a turbo hose popped off not far from home and engine went into limp mode. Managed to get the hose back on when I got home but yellow light still on dash and engine still in limp mode. I suppose car has to got back to dealer to be reset.
Anybody else had this happen on a Puma?

Never had any prob's with my PUMA, but the old D3 used to have yellow light after yellow light.

The dealer said that you can disconnect battery for a few minutes and then re-connect. (negative terminal first)

This is basically a reset and should work for most faults. In any case it can't hurt anything or do other damage.

Loose turbo pipes seem common on Puma's. I spent a good time yesterday with a spanner re aligning my top hose that was quite loose, could not get a socket or screwdriver in to tighten or loosen it. Didn't go into limp mode though.

while it seems a pain in the bum, the way a common rail diesel goes into limp mode nearly makes it impossible to do any real damage to your engine.
i would say the loose pipes may have been a minor slip in quality assurance.

we have had mil lights and what we found if its not a huge problem which this isn't then the car will reset itself I think after 3 drives (I think, maybe 5 cant remember now) providing it is driving normally the light will go out but the problem logs in the computer. if the problem is still there of course the mil light will re illuminate once it has cycle through.

from memory though you cant just turn engine on and off x number of times it has to be driven.

Found that the car was back to full power this morning when I drove it onto the transporter this morning. The light was still on. Anyway gone to the dealer for checkup.
Dull bird, would have liked to test your advice out but will have to wait for next time!
Hopefully this is just little glitch....maybe, maybe not......
