    It's lucky no one was killed!

    Just posted onto YouTube is a video of a Patrol trying to recover another. The snatch ripped the bullbar clean off the bogged Patrol. The bullbar flew quite some distance.

    I won't post the link as there is almost non-stop foul language (in front of kids, too) but if you search for "what not to do" you might find it.

    BTW, don't post the link here or I will infract you.

    yeah, thats a recovery point INSIDE the rear mounted spare on the vehicle.

    Dont listen to the guy who reckons its safe to use again.

    Whoa!

    Just taking the vid on face value, without knowing if there where previous attempts to recover. Ol' mate may of been a bit gung-ho on the happy pedal.

    I think there are a number of lessons in that video:
    • Recovery points - rated?
    • People/pets (dogs) clear of recovery once commited. Luckily they where. Methinks that maybe someone knew this may happen.
    • Is the strap a 'snatch-em' or tree protector - there is a difference.
