Which one is it

I have an occasional fault on my D3. When I put the suspension into access height it starts to lower the car, then I get a message saying it's been put in extended mode and to reset the height once clear of the obstacle. My conclusion is that I have a faulty height sensor(s). So is there any way I can track it down to which one(s) is/are faulty?

If you have a Llams kit fitted you should remove its loom first and if the fault no longer occurs then look here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/1657476-post94.html about having the loom fixed. However a fault only when lowering to access height doesn't sound like a Llams connector problem.

Forgot to add, no Llams fitted but I do have Faultmate MSV2.

The compressor dryer could be blocked, stops the vehicle exhausting the air and it thinks it is stuck.
Remove dryer sieve and microwave the beads.

Mine (2005 D3 Se) was doing the same when lowering to access height untill Ritters replaced a few bits. My rear end was lowering very slowly and I assume the sensor we can use to trick our cars into extended height (shove a log under the tow bar when lowering) was sending my car up high.
This was noted before LLAMS was installed on mine. It was fixed but not at my request as I actually liked it.
If yours starts going up high toggle the switch back to lower it and you will get down. Having access to exended mod.e might be very usefull at times. It is fixable but i wouldn't ask for it myself.

Put it on the 4x4 information screen if you have one and drive it around normally. Watch for one of the wheel height indicators acting strange. That should be your culprit.
