sls problem after jacking

Just had the wheels balanced and now the sls is sitting on the bump stops i assume that the 2 rear wheels were off the ground at the same time and they jacked it via the chassis,I have hooked the msv 2 up and it records no faults,any ideas.

How old are the bags?

When they jacked it up they could have let the bags go to a longer extension than when there is weight on them, this could expose any damaged/worn part of the bag in a way that allowed one/both to leak (normally along the fold in the bag when in on road height). If one bag had leaked then when put back down the vehicle would try to level the rear by deflating the other bag, thus on its bum she goes.

to check for this,

get it back to normal suspension height, (all doors closed, start engine and the SLS should re inlflate), when you get home, set it to off road height, jack it up so the bags go to full extension and spray the bags with soapy water (spray and wipe works well) and check for bubbles coming from a leak in the bags, normally along the fold lines as stated.

99% of bag deflating issues are leaks.

bags are 6 months old,the system worked as normal this morning when i started up. the compressure usually runs for 15 odd seconds at startup.now the compresor starts and then stops after about 5 seconds as if the system thinks it is at normal height but it is on the bump stops,i can't hear any leaks.

A faulty sensor should show up on the diagnosticshouldn't it?

Maybe the tyre guys damaged one? but the car would not raise level, you would expect it to show up when trying to raise to normal inflation.

You wont be able to hear the leak if you have one, soap test the only way.

I had one that was so slow I had to sit and wait for about a minute just to see the bubble start to form, very very slow and hard to ID.

The sensors rarely are the problem unless the tyre guys trashed it on you.

check for leaks.

My compressor just gives a squirt or two of air after start to adjust for me getting in

A compressor that runs for 15 secs on start up without an increase in load since shutdown seems a bit long and probably means you are losing air pressure overnight somewhere. The average time for a good compressor to run to raise car to off road height (40mm lift) is about 30 secs, so a 15 sec run is equivalent to a 20mm rise!

not getting any faults have looked for air leaks with soapy water,nothing,sensors all appear to be working,i can see the marke were they jacked from can spot nothing there.

put a Hawkeye or nanocom on it and check the suspension has some how gone to 'transport mode"- transport mode drops it to the bump stops.
you never know stranger things have happens with control modules

hooked the msv 2 up[same as nanacom]it is not in transport mode.I can start the compressor up and open the valves and it still stays on the bump stops.assuming the compressor is pumping and the valves are opening i then jacked the body up to the correct heights and the sensors changed accordingly so this rules out the sensers being the problem.I then stored the heights with the vehicle jacked up let it down off the jack started up and the compressure only ran for 10 secs then stopped without raising the vehicle,funny that when i ran it through the msv it didn't cut out.it didnt lift the vehicle either,next step is to pull off one of the pipes and see if there is actually air coming out.any other ideas.do the valves work of the same relay??

okay compressor runs but no air comes out, can feel the valves working so I guess its new compressor time must of been a coincidence that it decided to fail at the wheel alignment or perhaps it’s been holding air for a while and by jacking up it returned to transport mode. Thanks all
