    Canopy for a 130 - soft one?

The steel canopy on my ute is rusted all to hell and isn't worth salvaging.

I was considering going to a "soft top" type cover (its late and I cant think of the word)/

The idea is that I could remove it and put a rest on for shooting trips.

The issue then, of course, is security or lack of it - fro camping gear etc.

Anyone worked through these problems? Let me know - pics welcome too.

(Also where are the canopies and hoops available?)
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

The tilts (English term) are either genuine or Exmoor Trim (genuine I believe anyway) or if you can get a set of sticks, any decent motor trimmer can knock up a canopy (Aussie term ) in either canvas if you intend sleeping in it, or PVC which is harder wearing but doesn't breath.

An Aussie made one will last so much longer than the UK canvas ones.
I've lost a genuine Landy one in about three or four years, from new to ta ta's, just from our UV.

[edit] I carry all my work gear in the back and have never lost anything.
Hell I carry it all in the back now as an open ute and haven't lost anything, but I wouldn't do that in the big smoke

Just as an aside for security i find my Red healer a good deterrent (doesn't allow anyone near his P38) at the house he does allow strangers to come and pat him but he won't let them leave

Vlad - I overcame some of the security issues by fitting a set of drawers but obviously adds to the cost. Oh and I have a big dog too .

Although I have a 110 Defender, I have a Red Healer and he loves the Defender, more than "She who must be obeyed".
Seems that Red Healers are the dog to owner for Defender owners.

Might be an idea to get some custom hoops made up to suit my needs, then get a canvas canopy made to suit. Can anyone supply a drawing with measurements for the hoops?

Ploppy I'm real interested in the drawers you have for it as I'd like to knock up some for mine.
    Pics ? Details?
    Are they water"proof"? dust"proof" ?

    Thanks

Vlad I ended up getting Drifta to fit some up for me. I cant vouch for the dust or waterproofness, only time will tell but they seem fairly well sealed, and are lockable. I also had them made not the full length of the tray so that I can have 4 Jerry's across the front of the tray.

I will take some photo's and post them up.

Stay well away from ex moor trim, very poor quality. Canvas is not suited for Australia conditions.
