Flat Dog flexi fare fit up.

I ordered a set of Flat Dog Flexi Fares from the UK.

Part of fit up is to remove the stock flares ( just completed ).

The front flares need to cut back to cover the gap between the inner guard and the mudguard.

Problem is I am have trouble destroying my front flares.

So the question is.....are the PUMA front flares particular to the PUMA or are they shared amongst other Defender models ?

I hope to buy a second hand set to cut up, so I need to know what model's flares will fit.

Oh, if any body has a set they want to sell......

I recently purchased some flexi flares after putting wider wheels on. I'm also reluctant to cut the original front flares. I was wondering if you remove the old flares and used a wide strip of rubber, would that fill the gap? That's what I was planning on doing. I have brush bars down the side as well. The flexi flares wont fit under them. So i probably wont fit the front flares. I didn't use the original screws, instead got some stainless bolts with allen key head. I packed out the rear with rubber washers I made with a punch set, as the recess for the screw/bolt is about 5-10mm of the body panel. Anyway, they look super tough.

You could always try a wrecker, how are you going to feel about drilling holes in the panels though. I would think if you ever went back to the original flares the holes in your panels would be a bigger issue........
