    Dunk Dunk Dunk!

Well the wee 90 had its first service on Tuesday and after reading about the hanbrake recall and the noise a mis-adjusted brake can make I asked them to have a look at it

I was asked "have you had it offroad?" I was ashamed to say no and that it had only seen a few dirt roads

The service guy gave me that look, the one that incinuates that I was lying

He showed me some pictures and pointed to the little splashes underneath, I laughed and said if that was off road I bought the wrong 4wd!

Turns out some of said puddle managed to get into the brake drum and on occasion was binding I suppose the word is. This was day 2 of ownership so it was all new to me anyway.

Might be something for you all to check occasionally when doing your servicing if you splash about in muddy puddles

And it is definatly a better drive, even my son noticed it

Give them there dues they, did what they were supposed to do, and said Puma is serviced and ready to go again.

Flaming hell!! if thats a concern with a puddle what the hell is 2 feet of mud and water crossings going to do pray tell? Have the defenders got soft since I got mine in '97? It has been in the PROPER offroading ever since and I have never had a prob with the handbrake drum or otherwise I think those Mechs live on the tar too much

    Cheers
