There are several specialised review ex-army Landrovers about with automatics behind Holden engines, but as far as I know, nobody has really solved the problem of mating the gearbox to a transfer case and providing a handbrake if you don't use the Rover T/C. These ex-army ones , from memory, are 2wd and have no handbrake, making registration problematical.

There were Ford C4 autos close coupled to series transfers, the Holden Trimatic is too wide in the valve body to couple.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

My uncle had a C4 in his series 3, but it was also behind a 250 xflow... I know he was quite easily able to get the transfer case to mate up, but in my case, can you couple a C4 auto to a 202?????
