    New Puma - mods

I'm thinking about buying a new Defender but it would need some changes straight away.
    - as standard it is about 80mm too high to fit in my garage.
    - I'd prefer auto.
What are my options as far as air suspension and auto conversions are concerned??

build a car port, get over the auto.
I'd say you have 10 to 20K to spend on top of the purchase price.

    Maybe choose another vehicle

Im only a newbie here.but I have just put my money down for a new 110..delivery next year..before I did I got the tape out and measured where its gonna live..I wanted a big 4x4 and they dont come bigger...do you really want to drop the suspension muck around down there just to fit it in your carport...a defender is what it is..Im not gonna put a spanner on mine till Ive driven it awhile then I will take it from there..

I'm not overly concerned about either of those issues.

    I've got one. D4 V8. Best of the 4 disco's I've owned. The defender is for a second car/ tourer/ toy.

Or modify it with a reasonably straight forward mod that will also improved the vehicle and park it in the garage???

Thanks for the nay-sayer replies. I was more looking for information on options for the mods.

If you wait 2 years, you will be able to buy a new defender with a very fancy auto-box.
