			Td5 Oil filter

					Hi all,

Settled in to do a service on the Defender and I could not get the genuine oil filter to fit. I've been using Ryco filters but as its a pain to remove the filter I bought a Td5 filter wrench but it will only fit genuine filters. The Land Rover part is about 1/2" longer than the Ryco. Have I been sold the wrong genuine Filter?
Any help much appreciated as always

 Cheers

 Nino

Should be a LPX100590 oil filter. The drain pipe from the turbocharger sometimes requires a little 'movement' towards the front of the engine slightly to help the filter move in further so it can be started on its thread.

Genuine filters are a real pain to fit. I use the Mahle ones for ease.
