    Rijidij D3 rear wheel carrier

    Gday All,

Murray will likely kill me for this as I know he's been busy, but here goes.

I asked Murray to make me a D3 rear single wheel carrier, and he did explain that he was still in the early stage's of this type of carrier, but he made me 1 which I must say is a very impressive piece of work.
He has a few small issue's to sort that would make them easier on the install part, but the workmanship and effort in this carrier is second to none.

So if you are after a carrier, once Murray gets time to sort the couple of adjustment out, get one, you will not be disappointed.

PS, sorry Murray, just had to post it

    Looks good,

BUT, he's use the same type of Latch which Kaymar uses, and I have started to find to be a real pain.

Maybe it will be sorted out for when I am looking for my D5 ?

Agree, looks good but I guess the rear parking sensor/s will trigger.
If Murray is following this thread, is it possible to move the latch to where the sensor is and reposition the sensor as part of the fixed assembly so that they will still work and not pick up the carrier?

Consider something a little bit different.....

As it will require brake/turn/tail lights to be fitted, why not "move" the rear sensor to the new "additional" cluster ?

Don't forget a LHS unit for those of us who run dual spares and need a plate lamp/mount as well.

Till the D5 appears on the horizon though, I would just like a replacement latch which is lockable and much much easier... (something SWMBO can easily handle whould be very nice).

left 7 right for my current kaymar...

Actually that carrier won't need the aux lights by law. They will be visible from required angles

I do agree over centre latches are a pita
Especially if one is not particularly strong.
