Holden red motor and conversion plate

I have a 1958 S1 107" with a holden red motor. Sorry I don't know what size the red motor is. It is still in the Landy and is going cheap (swap for 80" parts) minus the radiator and the other original Landy parts, and yes the conversion plate goes with the engine.

The only hitch is you need to remove it from the car with no damage to the Landy.

If you have any 80" parts to swap send me a message.

    Regards

if you look on the side of the block it will have a number that will say what motor it is most likely a 186 or a 202

I had a look but couldn't see a number. What side should it be on?

it was on the passengers side I think. what colour is the engine.
I am not sure if I have asked you this before but what 80' parts are you after?

It should be a large cast 3-digit number behind the alternator/generator. If there is no number there, it's a 149 (low compression, iirc). The engine number in this case should have a single letter prefix (M or Q I think, but don't quote me on it), as these usually came out of EHs. Later engines have the engine size as a prefix. The engine number is on a flat boss near the distributor.

It's a red motor. I had a good look at the engine and I can't find any ID except for a "1". The engine is a recond, from the sticker on the rocker cover.
As for S1 parts, I am looking for a front grill (full grill for lights behind), "D" lights for the rear, a tail gate, hoops.

you can still buy the d lights, keep your eyes out for a grill i saw one not long ago on ebay but not very often they come up. getting a good tailgate is near impossible I reccommend getting a new one made up when the time comes. hoops you may need to look for a wreck as they would be a pretty sort after part it is one of the few left I have to get but I have a lot more to do before that

if you want to know more about the holden engine try holden wikipedia website so much good info on there it should help you identify it, but to be honest if it is seized it is probably worth more as scrap as there is quite a few holden motors around

Can't find the three digit number, only what appears to be the number "1" on the block near the alternator.
The number on the flat boss behind the Dizzy is 149D........, so I guess it is a 149. It was reconditioned by Dianella Auto Engineering in Bayswater by the sticker on the rocker cover.
