    MY12 defender door trim shaved??

Sat in a brand new 110 the other day, shut the drivers door and noticed my arm didn't get knocked by the door. It looked and felt like there was more room?

Has the plastic door trim been changed in new defenders to give more elbow room?

It looked like it had been shaved on the top by the lock. I could be wrong?

I don't think I've lost weight or shrunk.

Heard a rumor that the seat has been moved a fraction inwards (left for the driver) on the 2.2...

    Anyone with info on this?

    Cheers,

Hmm if so could be a good mod for earlier ones, but would just make the handbrake a touch closer.

I wonder if there is a mod to move the hand break to the passenger side.

    Cheers

You can fit a RRC handbrake between the cubby and driver's seat. There will probably be someone along shortly to find a link.

I haven't sat in a lot Defenders, but it did feel like a lot more elbow room I the new one. Maybe they have moved the seat inwards?

If you sit in a Hardtop, they have a bit more shoulder room than a wagon due to the shape of the B pillar, I found out as I tried to brace myself in a left hand corner and moved over quite unexpectedly. It also didn't have a console, so felt much bigger.

I asked the local LR dealer today, and yes they have moved the seat over to the left.

I then had to distract him with the "look what's that over there" so I could run away and leave. Tried to talk me into a 110 or 09 D3.
