GPS randomly changing from Metric to Imperial

Im a frequent user of the D4 GPS. Every now and then the units displayed changer from Metric to imperial. This is not after turning the GPS or car on or off but is usually after entering a destination.

There seems to be no way to change it back but, usually, it reverts after reaching the destination and the car being switched off. Has anyone experienced similar or know what could cause this?

Thx. Will do although I believe they change the whole car settings - it is only the GPS that goes to miles (including voice guidance). The real problem is it is so infrequent and I've been unable to intentionally replicate the problem. Guess I will have to wait and see

When the software was updated for my Instrument cluster, the cruise control was displayed in MPH while the speedo was in KPH. I reset my preferences as above which fixed the problem. I can't recall if the nav was affected - it's all controlled by software, sometimes you just need to change a setting and change it back to solve a problem.

My Dad's 2010 3L RRS has done this from brand new completely at random. He has logged it as a fault at every service and every time they are unable to fix it or fault it. Just something he's had to live with unfortunately

Sounds exactly the same issue. Randomness is not helpful. I guess I will live with it as a "personality trait"

In the GPS settings there is a section to change from MPH to KPH.

Thanks Sneigy. Will try this when it next happens. Still doesn't help me figure out why it seems to change to and from mph on its own
