    65th Anniversary Defender

Ive just read about the changes to the Disco 4 and down the bottom of the article it mentioned the 65th Anniversary LXV Defender coming out later in the year, but cant find any info on specs or changes for it.

Anyone heard or seen anything about it?

Only available in 90 and 110 so the article said.

Is this the article you are referring to?

On a related note the gallery below has lots of images of older Defenders - I like the one running tractor tyres!

I had a quick google but nothing came up.

Maybe in a couple of weeks we might start to see some pictures or info?

Wow - orange stitching, alloy wheels and an LVX sticker. They really went all out, didn't they?

So you going to get one? Put an orange collar on Moet to colour code pet and interior

That would have worked... except that Moet got sick and died about 2 months ago. She's just a little pile of grey ash now so unless the 65th anniversary edition comes in Orkney grey then I'm outta luck on that front.

PS. Don't tell Mrs RVR110 that I said that.

PPS. Getting back on topic - I'm kinda bummed that I missed out on the anniversary edition except that (a) I don't want to wait and (b) It might only be available in black and I don't want a black car.

I'm a bit biased because I bought one, but I reckon the recent LE defender in Nara Bronze would have made a much nicer LXV than that one. That LXV does not look hugely different to a standard fender - in fact you can order that type of colour scheme with the contrasting roof.

No Special Edition Defender looks much different to a stock one!

Colour maybe but otherwise they all look pretty much the same!

SVX got some googly eyes... but apart from that looks pretty stock.

Most owners plaster their beloved with Plating, trim etc and then they more into something different again...
