    I like this colour

    Nato green.
Has anyone got a colour code for it ?
Be a bit harder to spot in the bush.
These fracking days you cant just stop anywhere for a cuppa or a bit of a rest. ****heads.
This is a well setup Disco. Hope the Bloke doesn't mind me borrowing his pic.
Before anyone starts going on about copying military camo colours, remember that Nature had it long before any military learnt how to mix anything with a stirring stick.
I am at the moment prepping Me Disco prior to re spraying it.

    Mate, I hear you.

you find a nice spot to camp in the early arvo and some ***** spots you and pulls in so close you can't swing the cat you just shot, and if your really really lucky he wont start up a generator.

cant help with the paint code but a camo net works well.

my truck is white & staying that way as its a good 10deg cooler in the hot sun than our old red one

biohazard signs on the entrance to camp work well too

Go to your local hobby shop and get a little tin of Humbrol Nato Green, probably cost you around $3.50. Then you can get a batch made up to suit. Also a good source for duck egg blue for Series engine repainting.

Yeah, I was thinking its probably some Army green code. Like it myself.
Any good automotive paint shop should have a colour chart with something like that on it.

Protec Paints in Brisbane make and sell from memory spray pack tins of "Camoflague" green,I think it is also available in larger quantities, there is an olive green colour in the Disco 1, maybe that could be mixed for you but with a flattening agent.

    cheers

Nothing wrong with green, I quite like it. It's only when you mix it up with greys, sand & black, that I think it is a bit wannabe. [ unless of course it is part of a military vehicle club or similar. ] Check this out, Bob

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    Thanks all.
Yes, it looks like the BS381C is the code.
We have a couple of good paint shops here that I have purchased from in the past.
If one of them can match the code, bewdy, if not I think the Humbrol sample would be easy for them to duplicate.
Then to decide whether to get matt or saturn.
In my experience matt fades quickly and needs periodic attention. Saturn might be a bit reflective for a start but should dull down after awhile and gets an unwashed sort of look.
I wonder if there is such a thing as clear matt ?
    All in duco of course.

    Cheers.

olbod, you will find no matt or saturn off the shelf.
It's a mix you or the shop make by adding a dulling agent. The bloke at work did his skyline saturn and from memory it was reduced by more than 50% to achieve this.

I will find out and report back
