    Rear seats on 7 seater

I want to remove these and use the cavity for storage.
How do I do this, and where can I get a panel to cover it?

    How I did it.........

    Hi Beardead,
Here is a picture of the back of my RRS with the 6th and 7th seats removed. I removed all the framework apart from the front support. Got some wood from Bunnings and also the carpet, used marine carpet, seems to match OK.
Cut out a template, secured the front with bolts and the back with the tie down buckle bolting. I cut a hatch in the R/H side and got a small kitchen tray from Ikea. I have enough room to store a snatch strap, filters, belts a small first aid kit and of course some tools in the tray from Ikea.

After taking our seats out, I made a false floor out of 12mm ply, before fitting it I filled all the gaps with insulation stuff carpeted the ply and put it in place, didn't take very long at all, we did this to put drawers in, I made my own drawers at the time.

    Cheers Baz.

    Thanks for the replies gentlemen.

I have considered both removing the seats as well as installing a drawer system on top of the floor. I like to carry a lot of ****/toys/essentials

I would like to carpet the floor with the same fabric as the original if possible, but otherwise as near as possible. SWMBO will probably inherit this vehicle when hers dies, and may not approve of dissimilar carpets. Meantime, I intend to play.

    Jim.
