    Spotlight switch for D4

    Hi Folks,
Does anyone have a source for a factory-looking spotlight switch for a D4?

I don't like the factory switch - I put the keyfob in that cubby hole. Would probably be too expensive to buy that one and butcher it out.

I'm hoping to find a switch that looks like factory one - that I can then modify and install in the existing light switch bank. (Like some have put brake controllers in there). Rather than having a massive toggle switch sticking out like dogs danglies.

Thanks in advance for any leads.

    Cheers,
    Rob

    Hi Rob,

Narva make a narrow flip switch ( sorry I cannot recall the number, but I did a post on it sometime ago ) The switch comes in several LED indicator colours, and uses a barb type retainer. The switch can be installed in the area immediately to the left of the OE light control switchgear. A slot can be cut into the plastic and foam panel. You do need to be careful, and use a sharp cutter. ( better to be too small initially ) The thickness of the foam will retain the switch, providing you make the slot a tight fit.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I've done some investigation and while you can't buy the D4 spotlight switch on its own, you can buy the FL2 spotlight switch - which appears to be the same one.

I'm off to the dealer on Wednesday and will dig a little more.
