Would it have changed on the MY13 ?....this is for my MY12.
You can find it on topix with your VIN, or in the hand book.
Remember to put it in tight tolerance or remove the main suspension fuse.

						Hi All.
Would there be some one out there that would have, or can direction in the right direction to obtain the wheel alignment specification for a 2013 D4 with 20 inch wheels.
Cheers
Robert

Is tight tolerance a setting that can be selected without special equipment? I always seem to have wheel alignment done at service time with the dealer, and pay above standard rate for it no doubt, due to this tight tolerance requirement...
I've checked at a few tyre places, but mentioning "tight tolerance mode" gets a wildly varied response ;-)
No - special computer equipment is required.
Why are you getting a wheel alignment at each service - in my experience the car often comes back misaligned so I no longer get wheel alignments done unless an issue becomes evident. My RRS has now done 80,000km and in the 45,000km that I have had it, it has not had a wheel alignment and the tyres wear perfectly.

So, how is tight tolerance mode selected/engaged?
Why at each.service? Well I only do 10k Kms per annum, so seemed like a wise decision that once a year had the alignment checked. I didn't do the first year and the OEM tyres (Badyear wranglers) were badly worn by 20,000. Only occasional off road stuff, which I figured must shift some of the alignment. Over cautious maybe? But $100 once a year is cheaper than replacing a set of rubber after 20k Kms. :-(
I know have the D697's, so hoping they wear a bit better.
I agree with Garrycol, if it isn't showing signs of misalignment then leave it alone.
Davies LR at Annangrove NSW have the proper kit to do a proper alignment job if and when needed.
