I have been checking around on a few US sites and they recon on Johnson Rods, (GOE in our case) on the tall setting there will be no rubbing,

At the moment I am running KM2's on 17inch steelies, these will last me for quite some time, but just doing some investigating as I really like the look of 33's.

    This guy did it:

In the US a few people have done body lifts on RRS and some are looking at what further mods like cutting guards are needed to fit 35s.

That is pretty epic, I'm looking for some pics of a body lifted RRS, I think that would look awesome.

Seems the Disco's are much more comfortable with a maximum of about 32 inches.

    Cheers,

What causes the rubbing? The extra height or width of the larger tyres? I note that in your link it's 33" x 12.50" which is quiet wide, perhaps 33" with a narrower tyre may be easier to setup?

Yeah I was actually thinking the same thing.

If you have rear air there are pipes in the rear guard that the Tyre's will rub, also the body join that pokes out in the back arch can rub.

In the front it is in a couple of spots they rub.

Biggest problem noted, if the suspension drops, the car wont roll as it sits on the rubber!

So like a 255/80/17, just on 33 inch and heaps thinner?
I wonder if anyone has tried that
