BAS - addon. New tuning map for PUMA

Well ..... I contacted Pete Bell for a change to my BAS map for my SVX after 3 years of reliable service. Pete lead me down the track to the all new " Add-on " version for the 2.4L PUMA.

For £50 I was provided with a full up grade to the new mapping set up based on the latest base line maps developed by LandRover. Good deal I thought.

I loaded the new map this morning and WOW...did I say WOW, because WOW !
    Quoted at 450NM's and 127KW's (standard 360NM's / 90KW's) it is unbelievable.

If you've got BAS map older than May 2013, upgrade ASAP.

    Worth the coin...you bet

Hmmm, my remap is circa March this year - might be worth an email to BAS to see if another upgrade is on the cards?

    Hey Pat,
No mate, no surging at all. The removal of the cat produced much smother power delivery and allowed the turbo to spool up a little quicker. Power increase was small but noticeable. I did the centre muffler removal at he same time and it had the BAS map already loaded.

    Aaron,
I first got the BAS (Bell Auto Services from UK) about 3 years ago. Pete Bell is very customer focused and he produced a custom map for me. I have recently sold my caravan and returned to camper trailer so I didn't need the tow map anymore.

I contact Pete for his tuned map and he set me up with the latest version, based on Land Rovers current base programming improvements.

For current customer it was only an extra £50.

If your interested contact BAS direct.

Yep, as much as the 2010 remap was a superb improvement on the OEM map, this 2013 map is even better than the 2010 map!

A quick question for you Drover. Did doing the mapping option/decat, interfere with your warranty when you had done initially?

Also, with the mapping, how does this effect fuel consumption/power compared to original?
I'm quite happy with my car as is, but, sometimes just a tad more grunt would be nice. At present, I get around the 530K's to a tank of fuel, which I don't believe is that good anyway, but I have the roof rack/tent on etc, and I have a relatively heavy foot so I expect a loss.
