    acco gas conversion

    anyone had experience on putting an acco on gas?

    Which engine? I've put a couple of 345 V8s (horse trucks) on gas, didn't go badly.

    Yeah well they're just a typical lump of yank iron, they eventually burn valves if you don't take precautions for heavy duty use (upper cylinder lube or hardened seats) and run a typical Holley sized carby that's dead easy to get a mixer for. My fun trick was to gut the points dissy and install the guts of a Holden V8 electronic dissy, including machining down the case to take a stocky Holden cap instead of the yankee one. HEI ignition works wonders for LPG on these just like on any other common V8.
