    Question SWB tub dimensions

    G'day all.

    The story:
I have a Disco2A as the family car which replaced Flandie.
Flandie has been designated as work vehicle (archaeological survey) unless the work requires the Disco.
The old SII 88 (1961 'the Turtle') is still in storae.
I have been ordered by the boss (subject to time and finances) to get rid of one vehicle. The chop will fall on the Flandie but first the SII needs to return to active service scheduled over summer.

In preparation for the switch I need to source (make or buy) a storage chest / toolbox that would fit in the back of the SII (on the floor).

Since the SII is not accessible at the moment (especially since it is on the other side of Blue Mountains) could some one measure up the back of their SII 88 and let me know what size box would fit taking into consideration tail-gate chains and the slope of the rear bulkhead?
I am hoping I can find something that would fit the SII and also the back of Flandie...

    Thanks
    -Golksy

Just a reminder - if making a box to be a close fit sideways, remember that there are rubbing strips on the sides that narrow the space a little from the floor measurement given in the above diagram. (And if planning to slide it in remember the anchor points for the chains on the tailgate!)

Any idea what is the size of the anchors? How far from end, top and their thickness? I am thinking of getting a ready-made box for all my surveying toys as time is a bit of an issue...

    Cheers

Bummer... a surveying tripod will not fit lengthwise only sideways.
Oh well, I still need a box for all the other toys
