Similar to what I got with my D3, however it had front and rear bars and a long range tank. It may be worthwhile getting the gearbox software updated as this helped Redback's fuel economy.
Currently I'm getting about 18l/100 it is 5.0 though.
Just wondering if my 2.7-litre Disco 4 fuel consumption of 14.0L/100km around-town driving is a bit high? No harsh acceleration just normal Sydney grid-lock driving..

It could also be how you drive, in the sense that if you do a lot of short trips you will get worse mileage (or is it kilometreage ???? these days). I've got a Pajero (new Discovery D4 HSE being picked up on Thursday) and usually get 20 litres per 100km. We do a majority of very short trips. If I go on a longer drive the fuel consumption drops dramatically. So constant grid lock travel may be the reason but I think it's still worth checking out.

It'd have to be the gridlock doing it. My usual drive to work and back is 100km round trip, 15% stop start, 15% free flowing 60km/h, 30% freeway 110kmh and 30% country b-roads.
Get 9.5-10 L/100km - RRS 2.7TDV6.
Our 2.7l D4s economy was terrible when we first got ours, getting 12 to 14l/100 too and from work, 16 to 20l/100 towing, with no accessories at that stage, surprisingly when we did get the accessories fitted it didn't go up that much, repeated approaches to the Dealer made no difference, apparently that's normal
On a trip to Sth Aust we were getting faults and going into limp mode, so a quick visit to Lincoln Land Rover to see what the issue was, after a quick drive he decided that he would re-flash the ECU, do the latest software updates and put in the latest 3.0l gearbox updates, now we consistently get around 11 to12l/100k too and from work and 13 to 15l/100k towing.
All good now, I wish all dealers were like Lincoln Land Rover, nothing was a problem, a real nice bloke to boot and looking at all the old series Landys and Rangies I would say an enthusiast as well.

Yep, that isn't ridiculous.
Before the recent software update and with the M/T's I was getting 12-14 in and around the city
Now it is back to reading 10 which i believe is abut 11 with the update done. And no more dreaded shudder/clunk in the gearbox down low.
My D4 2.7 averages around 10.5. - 11.0 in Sydney, although no gridlock traffic, and only the occasional highway run.

My D4 2.7 sits on 10.4 on the carputer which is 11.2 in real life. My Mrs can make it go up by 2L/100km as I can make her Golf go down by the same amount. Driving style is a big factor.
Driving a D3 4 litre for 4 years gave me the opportunity to refine by driving style
Something strange happened to mine.
Couldn't get less than actual 10.5's no matter how hard i tried on a run.Around town under 12.5's was also difficult.
Start long trip,7.5K in four weeks, including desert crossing.Beginning of trip,11 to 11.5's,clocked many tanks, all around the same.Loaded with stuff on roof as well.
Last two tanks of trip started getting low 10's,vehicle loaded identicle to start of trip.
A week after coming home had to do two trips to Grafton,600k's round trip each time.It got just under 9.4l/100 on both trips.I wasn't driving for economy either.Lightly loaded nothing on roof.
No trips to dealer, still can't work out what changed the fuel use?
The vehicle had just hit 24K,but i don't think that is the answer.
Maybe something changed in the electronics, engine or G/Box ECU maybe.
Your engine has just started to run in
