D4 ARB Bull Bar & Front Parking Sensors

I am getting a ARB bar fitted next week. The installer tells me that the parking sensors will not work and will have to be turned off. Apparently they can do this via the cars software.
Question is has anybody got an ARB bull bar with front parking sensors that work.
    Cheers

I'm pretty sure the sensors work with the Opposite Lock bar, I don't have front sensors in our D4, but my Opposite Lock bar has the holes for the sensors, so I'm assuming they do work with the OL bar.

    thanks Baz.
Yes I understand that the OL bar has indeed managed to manufacture a bar where the parking sensors actually work. For various reasons I am getting a ARB bar that has provision for the sensors, however the installers tell me that they are not recessed out enough and thus the sensors do not work, go figure?.

ARB would not supply a bar for my D4 HSE because they don't accommodate the cameras.

The ARB and OL bars look very similar, but the OL bar accommodates the sensors and cameras. Some have said the ARB bar is better, but no cameras or sensors was a deal breaker for me. I'm happy with my OL bar.

Hope you don't need bigger tyres such as mine, as they will rub on the arb bar.
If they have provision for sensors, they must work surely.

Do the big tyres rub with the OL bar?

The ARB bar, don't be alarmed

I have a D4 HSE and an ARB bar has been on the vehicle for the last two years.

The parking sensors have worked since day one of the installation albeit not without the odd problem. There has been times when there was an intermittent problem with the sensors giving a false alarm.

My local LR dealer was able to fix that issue for a price.

I don't know if there has been any modification to the sensor mounting on the latest ARB bars but it seems to me that the mount for the sensors is not sufficiently robust and any movement of the sensors can lead to problems.

I have a D4 TDV6 with an ARB bar. They stuffed around for a couple of weeks before they could get the sensors to work. They have been there for 3 years without an issue since then. Rough job though. Pick you ARB shop carefully.
